About Me:

Hey everyone! It is always a bit awkward trying to write an “About Me” section. So, I will just share a bit about who I am in a hopefully casual, informative way:

I am an Atlanta-based guitarist who is lucky enough to get a decent amount of session recording work, both remote and in-person. I grew up in the south in a moderately sized town in Georgia. When I was 18, I moved to Atlanta to pursue an education as well as a music career. As a result, I spent just over a decade working as a professional guitarist around the southeast (and around the world on occasion), playing a wide variety of different genres; including country, Americana, pop, rock, western swing, and jazz.

For a good portion of that decade, along with session work, I was the band leader of a string trio named “The VaudeVillains.” Through my recording work and my work with bands, I was lucky enough to play with and for some of the greatest musicians on the planet. Sparing the name-dropping portion of this “About Me” section, suffice it to say that I have been quite a fortunate person in the world of music.

However, at the beginning of the lockdowns related to the COVID-19 virus, I found myself with quite a bit of free time and no gigs. So, I shifted gears and started focusing more on remote session work as well as a new project: my guitar-focused YouTube channel. My goal with the channel was (and is) to make quality content that focuses on helping guitarists and musicians improve in their respective fields. While I do not typically teach guitar lessons, I try to focus on interviews with prominent figures in the music community where we discuss their business models and experiences as musicians. I also try to help folks sort out their gear-related questions and interests, as well as provide practical information on different aspects of the profession.

Other than guitar, my girlfriend and I travel as much as possible and have been lucky enough to see some of the most amazing and exotic parts of this world. I also love collecting vinyl records, working on cars, home improvement projects, cameras, and wristwatches.

I sincerely hope you all enjoy what I do, and I am certainly open to people reaching out with their questions, or to just strike up a conversation about guitars! Likewise, if you have any session-related inquiries, please do not hesitate to send me a message!
